Lara Libero, Nurse Practitioner
Lara Libero joined Katy Trail Community Health as a Nurse Practitioner in August 2006.
She provides primary health care to clinic patients and provides information to help them make informed decisions about their care and lifestyle choices that affect health. Nurse practitioners may perform physical exams, provide immunizations, and manage high blood pressure, diabetes and other chronic health problems. Libero also is involved in patient and community education and outreach efforts.
Libero has worked in pediatric care at Fair Haven Community Health Center in Fair Haven, CT, and family health care at PrimMed in Bridgeport, CT, and Yale University Health Plan in New Haven. she also completed an internship at the Sand Point, Alaska, medical clinic. Libero received a master's degree in nursing from Yale University School of Nursing and earned nurse practitioner certification. She also holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University, Durham, NC.
